Rates & Terms

Rates are dependent upon the complexity and longevity of your project or content and therefore are presented as ranges. Large Project rates will be quoted with a not-to-exceed estimate at the time of contract.

Surcharge for rush jobs, custom layout requirements, or texts requiring coinage of new terminology are not included in these rates and will be quoted at the time of request.

* Time is billed in a minimum of 15 minute increments, page rates are based on an average 250 word page (less than 250 words is billed at the full page rate), and a galley sheet is 24,000 characters (letters and spaces).
** Product and/or technology knowledge acquisition may be required, research is billed at $25 per hour with a not-to-exceed quotation provided in advance.
Project and other currency rates are available on request.

Payment Terms

  • Payment Method: payments can be made by credit card through PayPal or direct bank transfer.
  • One-time Projects: require 50% payment in advance of commencement of work, with the remaining 50% due within 3 business days of completion of work.
  • Advance Project Scheduling Deposit: to secure a time-slot send a $100 deposit (non-refundable) using one of the above payment methods (be sure to discuss the scheduling with me in advance of sending the deposit).
  • Ongoing Projects: Long-term clients in good credit standing may receive Net 15 day terms. Invoices are generally sent to clients on the 1st and 15th of the month and payment must be received in full within 15 days (e.g., an invoice generated on January 1st must be paid by January 16th and an invoice dated January 15th must be paid no later than January 30th).
  • Late Payments: payments received after the invoice due date incur a 5% Penalty. If payments are late more than twice, advance payment will be required for all future work.

Agreement

By opening a new project, sending work to me (by e-mail, post or any other means), or phoning me for a consultation whether it be for a few minutes or a few hours, you acknowledge your agreement of the rates, terms and conditions contained herein.
